A senior

I was surprised when tita Maan called our house the other day. She gave me a fourth year studen'ts house number and told me to call him. But I declined. She then told me to wait for his text. I did not expect. I did not believe. Why would someone care to text me for no reason? But he did text me eventually. I could not believe it. I felt shy and I do not know what to say. I had thoughts that he isn't someone who is approchable.



I was proven wrong.
I asked for his Y!M (yesterday) to be able to get in touch only when he goes online. Because I think texting would not be effective. But then he asked how's my day in Recto, and with that we began to talk. He told me some funny stuffs -- like cheating is in. He told me that his room is messed up and he can't find his notes in chemistry

" I could sahre you my notes kaso...
ang ayos ng room ko... pag hinanap ko,
magugulo ko na :p "

But the thing I appreciated, is that he is good at encouraging and convincing. He said these lines as our conversation went on:

1. Aim for DL!
2. Don't think, just STUDY but have fun.
3. When you're stressed, vent out. When you're lost, pray. When you're lonely, look for your mommy (lol)
4. Take a step at a time
5. Wag ka matakot

I was really moved by the short conversation we had. He is someone who will not hesitate to push a person to reach the top. You can't really say "I can't do it" when you talk to him because he speaks with conviction and know that he already believes in you. He's SO encouraging. What more if I meet him ? Just. Wow.


I guess I will not be afraid to reach out to him, whenever I have questions, or just some bits of curiosity.

I realized that 4 years of studying, and experience might as well enable a person to motivate a new comer, and say things that are inspiring. I like the way he talks. He's not that completely serious for he gives out jokes, but he also talks with wisdom (lol). If only I will be able to HAVE a guy like him, I would really be satisfied!


I guess he's a blessing in disguise afterall. I am proud I was able to meet him -- well, proud I was reffered to him.

I feel that I will not get lost. I have an inspiration who will lead me. I guess God's will for me has been whisphered to him, and he will deliver it to me.

I am GRATEFUL.
