Section H

Ilagay ang kamay sa bibig Wow. It IS fun to be involved.

Today is a long day because of Gawad Kalinga. I woke up without thinking anything, but I'll do what I got to do. And since this will be JUST for TODAY, I thought: Why not enjoy everything that happens? And suprisingly, I did.

We went to the GK site, "Don Pepe". It's a small place, that where less fortunate people live. First, we helped the carpenters transfer the "sand" that they are going to use to build the third flook of the, rather small GK house. We formed a line, zigzagging in the staircase as we pass the sack to one person to another. It was dusty and dirty. After we were finished, we were relieved "Yay tapos na!" was the common comment each has given. We were also proud of ourselves that we were able to help them :D

CuteWe had lunch at the families in the place. Two persons in one house. We were 39 so there were about 19 houses . Monique and I were partners. We were assigned to a family that consists of 4 children and their mother. Three other kids from the neighbor joined in. We had a little chat, but most of the time was used up by taking pictures and watching using the mini-television of Monique in her cell phone.

The kids were grabbing our things, yet we let them hold it for a while. Frankly, I was nervous they might break it or something -- It's hard for me to let other people hold that camera, HAHA. It's driving me nuts.

After that, they invited us to play 10-20, a game in which you use a garter or rubberbands and jump jump jump! They were very good at it! Those flexible puny kids. They have their muscles worked out!

Then at around 12:00, we had our program. Together with Jobby, Kenneth, John and Kat, we teached the kids a song. "Humayo't Ihayag" Jobby and John does not know the song but I was surprised even though they did not know it, they still have the will to help Kenneth and me. So we teached them the song! Then Kat entered in the picture, volunteering herself because she knows the song.

Classmates I was really surprised because of these people's cooperation. And we formulated steps -- Kenneth and I did not know that we need ACTIONS. So, since it was still at the end -- we did not just STAND there and stare, we made actions. On the spot and it turned out just fine! They just don't know how pleased I am with their sense of responsibility. Some people would just stand there and say "sorry" even though there is still something that you call: Last Minute (though it is not advisable for it is addicting D: )

I also commend CAREN for being there, open to everyone and trusting everyone to do their part. And that trust she gave wasn't wasted -- people seemed to KNOW they have SOMETHING to do and they THINK to be able to perform the certain task. If they know for themselves that they CAN'T do it ALONE, there are other people, a LOT of people willing to help them.

Gawad KalingaI have grown to like this section even more.
I remembered that I disliked them, but something changed my mind when I saw them sitting in the Chemistry lab, studying -- helping each other out. When I saw how they do group works and skits. And now, adding up to the reasons why I should KEEP them.

I am blessed to be a part of Section H.
This will be a highlighted chapter of my college life.

First Year. First Sem.
THANK YOU for the experience.
No books can tell me these.
No other set of people but YOU.
I have just come across your path, yet you gave me presents as I leave.

I will never forget all of you.

We still have 2 weeks!
And it will be a blast.

Cheers to my beloved!

P.S. Then it rained.
Then we got soaked.
Our pants all wet
EDIT:
Thus my horoscope was right!

The Bottom Line
Right now you are surrounded by people who play a vital role in helping you succeed.
In Detail
Right now you are surrounded by so many people that you might feel a bit claustrophobic -- but these people really are looking out for you, so why don't you rely on them a little bit more than you have been? They will play a vital role in helping to turn your dismal outlook into a more positive one. Not only will they help you see the glass as half full, they will help you figure out a way to fill it even higher! So reach out and ask for help -- even if you don't think you need it, you could use some.
